Germany 2022 - Frankfurt Historical Museum 2022-08-21

On this last day in Germany, Emily and I visited the Frankfurt Historical Museum while my dad stayed with his brother. The first photo shows the old city hall, The Römer, which is where my parents were married. The rest of the photos are all from inside the Frankfurt Historical Museum, or just outside. Photo 24 was taken at the angle to show the extensive gilding of the painting in 23. Photo 49 shows just how badly damaged the city was from bombings during WWII, with a description in photo 50. It is amazing that the big cathedral remained mostly undamaged! Photos 51 and 52 depict central Frankfurt before the WWII bombings.
